Meet Bilquees Muller, a passionate Young MOTivator from our partnering school, Gardens Commercial High School. Bilquees began her MOT journey in 2022, and since then, MOT has played a powerful role in shaping her confidence, purpose, and outlook on life.
Through MOT, she found her voice, discovered her strength, and learned what it truly means to live with courage. Today, Bilquees shares her personal reflection on how MOT became a turning point in her life, and how the values she learned continue to guide her every day.
Here is Bilquees’ story:
Being involved with MOT not only gave me courage, but it also gave me a story. MOT taught me the importance of caring, saying no, and living. It gave me the strength and confidence to stand before a crowd and share my story, knowing that I was able to push through the low moments in life and turn them into the best moments in my life.
MOT gave me purpose. To seize opportunities, I would never have imagined before. It strengthened my mindset, giving me a clear vision of the future I can give myself.
Having the Courage to Care showed me the importance of things as simple as “Hello”.
Having the Courage to Say No helped me set boundaries and balance my vulnerability.
And having the Courage to Live forced me to keep going, to go for my dreams and goals and not give up.
I can proudly say that MOT was and is the stepping stone I needed, that brought me to where I am today and made me who I am today. Through MOT, I created unbreakable bonds with so many people, from different areas, especially at the Young MOTivators’ Camp that I attended in 2024, all of whom immensely impacted my life, giving me memories to cherish that will forever be etched in my heart.
My message to share is that regardless of who you are, where you are, or what you are, applying the values of MOT into your daily life not only benefits you, but it also benefits those around you.
Be the one to take that first step and lend a helping hand.
Be the on to listen when someone needs a friend.
Be that one in a million.
Do what others wouldn’t dare.
And show the world that YOU have the Courage to Care.
